by Jack Abbott
My name is Jack and I have just completed my two-week work experience with MacIntyre.
I heard about MacIntyre through my Grandfather, Jim McCook, who is chairman of the Golf Committee. (Every year the Golf Committee organises a fund-raising Golf day for MacIntyre.)
Feeling welcomed
I instantly knew it was a great idea to complete my work experience with the charity. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and welcomed, which is something I often find hard when being in a new environment.
I have learnt so much and gained experience working with the recruitment team and have been lucky to be included in calls and meetings also going out and about to garden projects and visiting the school and café.
Recommending MacIntyre
I can’t recall a day when all the staff weren’t happy and smiling which made me feel at ease, I would 100% recommend MacIntyre to anyone who is looking for work experience or for work in general, I have had an unforgettable experience and am thankful for the opportunity.
Note from us at MacIntyre: thank you Jack, it's been a pleasure getting to know you, we've had some great feedback about how engaged and enthusiastic you are.
