Fundraising Superstar!

29 January 2022
News

MacIntyre receives core funding to provide education, care and support. However, it’s the 'extras' made possible by our wonderful fundraisers that can lead to a better quality of life for the people we support across the nation.

As a charity we are always looking to share news about the importance of our cause, encouraging people to get involved and help MacIntyre raise vital funds. So we are delighted to have had the opportunity to recognise a colleague who went above and beyond. At MacIntyre’s recent Marjorie Newton Wright staff awards the ‘Fundraising Champion’ award was presented to Lauren Bradley for her incredible fundraising efforts.

Lauren was chosen for the award because not only did she organise a Facebook fundraiser but she dug out her running trainers and ran a whopping 20 miles. Lauren was the first to say it wasn’t an easy challenge for her but she gritted her teeth and her perseverance was incredibly inspiring to all. A well-deserved award win for Lauren who raised a fantastic sum of money for the people who draw on our support.

Do you have superhuman legs like Lauren, and can run 20+ mile? If so why don’t you register you interest to be in the MacIntyre London Marathon October 2022 team.
