"You should have somebody with a disability in that meeting. That way you have somebody there who not only understands it, but who lives with it."
At MacIntyre, we use Person-Centred Approaches to ensure that any individual we support is always fully involved in decisions affecting all aspects of their life, but we know there is still so much work still to be done.
Marc is joined by Patsy Deacon, MacIntyre's Area Manager for Worcestershire to share why meetings about someone who has a disability should always, where possible, include that person.
Marc also shares why he made a promise to himself to act as a voice for people who can't speak up.
"I live with this disability. You can't just turn it off or get up and put it on. It is part of who I am."
