Intensive Interaction is used throughout MacIntyre, from helping young people at MacIntyre School to become confident communicators, to encouraging adults to express themselves.
Recently, we've been exploring how Intensive Interaction can benefit people living with dementia. To demonstrate how effective the approach can be, we are sharing a film titled 'Connecting with people who have dementia'.
Carol, a Frontline Manager at MacIntyre said:
"Since trying Intensive Interaction with David, I've found it has been great. Some days, he really enjoys a conversation and you can see he is fully engaged."
She added:
"I can't wait for my whole team to be trained in Intensive Interaction so we can all give David short, special moments, which have real meaning for him."
