It's the start of the autumn season and in some towns and cities in the UK, scarecrows are popping up dressed as famous film characters and notable figures from children's nursery rhymes.
Michael, a gentleman supported by MacIntyre in Leicestershire recently took part in his local scarecrow building competition, enlisting the help of his support team at MacIntyre.
Reflecting on his heroic scarecrow, Michael has written about the experience.
Hi, I am Mike, I live in Leicester. In my city, there is a scarecrow trail taking place.
My friends and support staff suggested that I take part as I love spending time doing arts and crafts.
We spent the next two weeks constructing the scarecrow, starting with paper mache, then painting and stuffing him, then finally putting him together.
I really enjoyed this project especially as there are heroes and I love superheroes. I am very proud of my scarecrow.
