Outstanding Support in Worcestershire

24 May 2019
News

We're excited to share the 'outstanding news' that the support our team in Worcestershire provide has been rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

MacIntyre’s Adult Services Director, Becs Gratton said:

”I am thrilled, but not surprised by this result as the team in Worcestershire, led by Patsy, are driven by a genuine passion to provide an imaginative and individualised service for the people we support and to value those that work for MacIntyre and who deliver that outstanding service every day.”

In response to the news, Patsy Deacon Registered Area Manager for Worcestershire said:

“We are absolutely delighted to receive this recognition and I am honoured to be part of such a dedicated team. We have a passion for empowering the people we support to live their life on their own terms and are proud to provide care and support that is truly person centred.”

In the report, The CQC Inspector highlighted that the response to the quality of care in Worcestershire had been overwhelmingly positive from the people we support and their families:

“People we spoke with praised both the care workers and the management of the service for the delivery of high quality of care. We spoke with nine people and two relatives, the majority of whom told us they were exceptionally happy with the support they received, described the service as superb and said they would highly recommend the provider to other people."

One person told the inspector:

"The best thing about living here is everything."

Not only this, but the CQC Inspector shared how the people we support in Worcestershire were encouraged to live their life, their way:

"The service had a culture of supporting people to live their own lives to the best of their ability. This ethos was infused throughout the service."

Congratulations to our team in Worcestershire!
