We are pleased to share that our Health, Dementia and Wellbeing Team have contributed to the recent Public Health England Publication, 'Preventing falls in people with learning disabilities '.
The report explores the impact falls can have, risk factors and advice to help health professionals, social care staff and family members to prevent falls in people with learning disabilities.
The report highlights MacIntyre’s Health, Dementia and Wellbeing Team’s ‘Roundtable’ sessions, facilitated by leading campaigner, consultant, writer and blogger Beth Britton and our ‘ Reducing the Risk of Falls’ resource.
The MacIntyre Roundtable events bring together staff from across MacIntyre to discuss and learn about pressing topics such as falls.
The full report can be read on the Public Health England website.
