Promoting the voice of people with a learning disability

3 May 2018
News

Involving the people we support is central to everything that we do at MacIntyre, and it has been a clear, shared vision from the very start of our Department of Health funded Dementia Project.

None of the work carried out by the project team so far could have been completed without our Experts by Experience, Rosie and Rachel, who are now employed as Dementia Project Assistants; our Keep Going…….Don’t Stop! consultation group of people we support in Chesterfield; the MacIntyre Checkers, who work hard to review and approve all of MacIntyre’s Easy Read documentation; and all of the other Experts by Experience that have been involved in making the project a success so far.

Find out more about how we have been involving the people we support in Dementia Action Alliance’s latest newsletter and on their website.
