Our Health team came away with two awards they were nominated for at last week’s inaugural Palliative Care Awards in London.
The team were nominated for the Workforce Development Award, and the Bereavement Support Award.
We’re absolutely thrilled their efforts have been recognised and for the pioneering work they’re carrying out in developing resources to provide practical and emotional support. These resources empower people to feel confident in having those difficult conversations around Loss and Bereavement, and to also have choice and control over their end-of-life care planning.
Similarly, we celebrate the collaborative efforts from ARC England and Beth Britton, a Freelance Consultant in co-designing and co-delivering the ground-breaking Loss and Bereavement training, which won the Bereavement Support Award.
Judges commented on the team’s winning nominations:
A force to be reckoned with! This collaborative sets the standard for project delivery in the industry, boldly improving end-of-life and palliative care conversations. Their strong relationship demonstrates their commitment and passion.
This team introduced bespoke loss and bereavement training across their services, demonstrating a deep commitment to meeting service users’ needs. Their innovative training is a sector first and has received exceptional feedback.
In response to the judges’ comments, Health and Families manager, Nicola Payne said:
‘I’m truly so proud; Winning two awards for the wonderful work I get to do with this brilliant team is living an amazing dream I don’t want to wake up from. I can’t wait to see what the future holds and we hope we get to do so much more together with ARC England.’
