Rosie and Rachel have been working alongside our Dementia Project team since the beginning as Experts by Experience. Together, they have spoken at events, put together presentations and worked hard to raise awareness of the project and fulfil its aims.
Now we extend huge congratulations to both Rosie and Rachel as they have accepted their new roles as Dementia Project Assistants.
Rosie and Rachel will now work set hours with the project team, reviewing Easy Read materials and helping to prepare new resources, as well as continuing to present and co-chair at events and conferences.
Rosie said:
“I thought this would never happen and it has. I am looking forward to working with the Dementia Project team and starting to compile the work that we have planned.”
Rachel said:
“I love it, I feel so talented and I am excited to work at the side of the project team.”
Sarah Ormston, Dementia Project Manager, is also thrilled to have Rosie and Rachel as official members of the team.
“They have both been such an important part of the team since the beginning so I’m over the moon to welcome them as official employees. We couldn’t do the work we do without either of them. I can’t wait to see what we all continue to achieve together.”
Well done Rachel and Rosie! Keep an eye out for them as they continue to represent the MacIntyre Dementia Project at future sector events.
