We’re delighted to announce that we are finalists at the Children and Young People Awards.
The awards celebrate excellence in care for children, young people and families, showcase innovation and best practice in this area and pay tribute to those individuals or organisation who excel in quality care provision. Our nominees will be flying the MacIntyre flag high as they will find out the results from their nominations, at the finals on 24 October 2024.
So, without further ado, we’d like to present our finalists:
Magda Devana – Frontline Manager Award
‘Magda is a passionate leader who really cares about the wellbeing of students, and the team clearly respect and value their part of providing education to enhance our learner’s quality of life and wellbeing. Magda inspires individuals to be the best they can be and strive to achieve, develop, and grow by nurturing, empowering and guiding their development and practice.
Magda promotes continuous learning, supports others to discover new skills, feel able to take risks and innovate, and above all, be a part of a community of practice that is always aspiring, always growing and a culture that rewards effort. Magda paves the way in celebrating every learner’s potential and knows there is no such thing as failure, just another step in someone’s journey towards developing self-esteem, continuous learning, and success.’
Helen White – Children with Disabilities Award
The nomination describes Helen as having ‘such a wonderful style of support – ‘pure, imaginative elegance’- She is so adaptable and keen to ensure all students have the opportunity to be the very best they can be. She seeks out real experiences for students to explore, and balances her enthusiasm with realism, so students can exceed their expectations without a sense of pressure or of defeat. She continually adapts her communication skills and resources to meet the needs of any student, and can find a way to create learning from every situation.
Helen brings energy and positivity, which is infectious to young people she supports, and staff alike. Kind, constructive, supportive, and calm are just a few words to describe Helen, however, the word that springs to mind, above all others, is Outstanding.’
MacIntyre has also been nominated as an organisation for the Employer Award
In response to the nominees, Yvonne Nugent, Head of No Limits, said:
‘I’m absolutely thrilled Magda and Helen have been nominated for their respective awards, they work incredibly hard and it makes an immeasurable difference to the learners they support. Both Magda and Helen inspire and support others to be the best they can be, and are testament to how MacIntyre’s DNA and values are at the heart of No Limits.’
A huge congratulations to our finalists, we’re so proud of you and we’re all rooting for you on the night!
