Today we would like to introduce you to Sarah Tregilgas who was the winner of Marjorie Newton Wright Award in the Fundraising Champion category.
Sarah approached the Fundraising team last year to develop a plan of action to re-establish the New Routes Horticulture project in Warrington.
After two years of lockdowns and little activity at the project much of the equipment and resources had become damaged and unusable.
Sarah’s energy and commitment to co-produce a well-researched shopping list, case for support and volunteer programme has culminated in New Routes exceeding their £23,000 target (currently just over £30k) and securing not just grant funding but local and corporate donations as well.
This will no doubt result in a high quality project that not only continues to develop but facilitates people supported at New Routes to learn and thrive - with Sarah’s positive and ‘can do’ attitude very much at the heart of it.
