MacIntyre Coffee Shop in Great Holm, Milton Keynes, is an excellent hub for the local community.
As well as being renowned for its exceptional service and diverse menu, the Coffee Shop also provides a learning opportunity for people with a learning disability to gain new skills.
Following strict health and safety and food quality guidelines, people we support take part in:
- food preparation, including cooking and baking a variety of dishes;
- customer service, which includes taking orders and serving customers;
- money management, which includes processing orders through the tills and taking payment for orders and turn taking and supporting their peers.

The friendliest, most welcoming and most delicious coffee shop in Milton Keynes. Plenty of space to work on a laptop or just relax with friends. Wonderful food, cakes & a wide range of teas and coffees. The staff are delightful and have made this a cornerstone of the local community. A great place to visit and spend some time!! Forget all the chain cafés, enjoy a local, independent, charitable alternative - there really is no comparison.

What an unexpected gem.
I would much rather have a coffee here than in one of the high street chains. This seems to be a well-kept MK secret. What a pity that I have been missing out. Had a very nice latte and a piece of chocolate cake. Next time I will come for lunch as the simple menu looked very appealing. Plenty of tables and also places to park.
