Further Education
We work in partnership with Further Education and Independent Specialist colleges to provide an inclusive and flexible model of education for young people.
In Hertfordshire, we provide a range of support options including Registered Care, Supported Living and our Further Education provision.
Within our Registered Care homes, we provide care and support for adults with learning disabilities. At one of our services in particular, we provide accommodation, care, nursing and support for up to 12 people with learning and physical difficulties. Our staff receive training in subjects including safeguarding, health and safety, medicines, and specific health conditions including epilepsy, and we ensure the people we support have access to health and social care professionals when required, including GPs, occupational therapists, chiropodists and psychiatrists.
“I am always involved in the planning and care of my relative. If there are any concerns, the staff team ring me or email me, and vice versa.”

"I think the home is very well managed. The staff are dedicated and care of the residents is first and foremost with them."

Our Supported Living provision supports over 40 adults with a learning disability or autism. We adopt a person centred approach across all of our services and Supported Living is no different; we take the time to get to know each individual and what is important to them. We encourage the people we support to express their views and be actively involved in decision making about their care and support.
Additionally, we support young people to continue with their education through our Further Education provision. We have developed close networks with local colleges to create bespoke packages of support for each individual, with educational programmes that are focused on delivering education within local communities.
