Emily, who lives in Wrexham, enjoys helping others and likes to meet new people. She went to her local food pantry “The Homegrown Hub” at Plas Madoc to see if there was anything she could do to help and get involved.
Over a cup of tea she met Katie and Alan and some of the other volunteers there. They have a arts and crafts morning that sounded interesting, the RSPCA come each week to offer help to anyone with a pet. And they invited Emily to “Plastonbury” their local community festival.
Emily thought that she wouldn’t just like to go, she would like to have a stall as a way of being part of all the fun and also to meet and chat to people. Emily thought about what she could do and she wanted to make something that would mean people would come and chat with her. She made some sweets in a cone and made a lucky dip for people to play. She still managed to get round the other stalls and see some of the great entertainment.

I was so proud we made lots of connections and there are lots of ways Emily can get to know people and help locally.
