We're happy to share our 'Employees of the Month' for July. Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of MacIntyre Adult Services, Children and Young People, No Limits, and Support Services, together with an extract from their nominations.
Tracey Kimber - Adult Services Leicester
Tracey has been supporting RA to master his cooking skills, and in doing so has transformed occasional Sundays into a delightful and cherished experience for him and his parents. With patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to empower RA, Tracey embarked on a culinary adventure, recognising the immense potential it held for mentorship, personal growth and independence. Cooking a Sunday lunch together has become a centrepiece for both RA and Tracey in planning, scheduling and discussing collectively. Not only did Tracey focus on skill development, but she also recognised the importance of fostering a sense of connection and belonging.
Issah Aziz - Children and Young People - Wingrave
Issah is a new member of staff in Maple House and has already built up very lovely relationships with the young people. He has been working really closely with one young person in particular and has taken on board lots of advice given to him. He is using this to develop his practice and relationships with the young people further. Issah is always smiling and ready to lend a hand to anyone who needs it. We are really looking forward to seeing him progress further in his role!
Christine Woodhams - No Limits - Leicester
Christine has been the driving force behind quality in No Limits throughout the 2022-2023 academic year. She is always available for support and guidance. Christine is incredibly responsive and always happy to help, whether it be a Community Teaching Facilitator, Programme Coordinator or Programme Manager approaching her. She deserves some recognition in her role. Thank you Christine.
Charlotte Pantling - Support Services - Wingrave
Charlotte joined our administration team very recently but has already shown what a wonderful asset she is. Charlotte is based on our front reception desk and is always so cheerful, positive and gives a very warm welcome to all our visitors - they are greeted with a lovely, genuine smile. Charlotte has taken time to get to know the people we support and uses a person-centred approach when they come to collect/return their class registers. Our environment can be quite challenging at times but Charlotte takes it all in her stride. Charlotte will help with anything she is able to and is not afraid to ask for guidance if she needs it. Having Charlotte as part of our 'front of house' team has definitely had a positive impact on staff morale which in turn promotes wellbeing for both the staff and the people we support
