We have some fantastic employees at MacIntyre and every month one person from each division is chosen to be our Employee of the Month.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of MacIntyre Adult Services, Children and Young People, MacIntyre No Limits™, and Specialist Support Services, together with an extract from their nominations.
Joanne Turvey - Adult Services, Leicestershire
Jo consistently goes above and beyond in her role, demonstrating unwavering dedication and compassion not only towards the people we support but to her colleagues. Her commitment is truly remarkable, and she always finds ways to exceed expectations.
Jo is the local rep for MacIntyre's employee representative group, and takes the time to update staff, sharing valuable insights and information that contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. She embodies humility and professionalism, always working diligently behind the scenes without seeking recognition, and prioritising others' needs of others above her own.
She sets a high standard for excellence and serves as an inspiration to her colleagues. We are incredibly fortunate to have Jo on our team.
Tope Aregbesola: Children and Young People, Wingrave
Tope has done outstanding work supporting the child for whom he is link worker. He has consistently supported the child to overcome many challenges and differences such as a change in his diet and supporting him with making healthy meal choices. Tope has worked really closely with the child and assisted to take him on a trip to London which has enabled him to rebuild relationships with his family.
This has been a struggle for the young person ever since moving into Macintyre and the fact this trip went ahead was exceptional and a huge achievement for everyone involved. Well done Tope!
Richard Emery-Wain: No Limits, East Midlands
Richard first began working with us as an agency staff member; straightaway we could tell that he embodied MacIntyre's DNA. He was gentle and patient with a learner who at that time was finding is very hard to engage at all. Richard used creativity to attempt to effect change.
Since becoming a MacIntyre Community Teaching Facilitator, Richard has continued to show these values. He is flexible and willing to work with several different learners, always checking in to see if he's on the right track and diligently completing all of his paperwork too. This is such an important part of the role which is sometimes side-lined, especially at the beginning. Richard is a great character and we look forward to seeing him grow as an established member of the team.
Sarah Underhill: Specialist Support Services
Over the last month a member of the learning and development team has been off sick. Sarah has stepped up to assess numerous assignments for staff she does not know and in a qualification she only works with occasionally.
This has enabled one group of staff to complete their qualification in a timely manner and another group to start their qualification on time.
Despite the addition to Sarah's workload, she has done all this with positivity and a smile.
