Four outstanding colleagues won awards in September for the way they go above and beyond in their roles.
Sarah Page
Adult Social Care, Bedfordshire
Sarah has been praised for her dedication to both colleagues and the people who draw on support. She recently played a key role in adapting a bedroom to meet a person’s changing health needs, helping transform it into a space filled with personality, not least including a magical cloud-lit ceiling. Sarah has also stepped in to cover when managers were on leave, supported her team with our Everyone Everywhere initiative, and with new technical systems. She even achieved a 5-star rating from environmental health. Now a qualified Mental Health First Aider, Sarah is recognised for her warmth, adaptability, and willingness to help wherever needed.
Hector Munyongani
Children and Young People - Bedfordshire
Hector has been nominated for his creativity and enthusiasm in organising engaging activities for young people. He helped plan a fruit festival where young people sampled fruits from around the world, complete with labels and thoughtful presentation. Hector had organised invitations to all MacIntyre's children's homes. The event was a resounding success and enjoyed everyone who attended. Hector also helped make a trip to Southend during the school holidays a memorable and positive experience for the young people involved. His energy and commitment to creating opportunities for fun and learning stand out.
Joanne Shore

Joanne has been commended for the incredible care and dedication she brings to her work. She has gone above and beyond to support a new key learner, helping him settle in with confidence and ease. Joanne not only leads with compassion and skill but also supports colleagues across the provision whenever needed. She always rises to challenges with positivity and imagination. Her willingness to work with learners of all abilities and meet their needs with patience and care has been described as truly inspiring. As one nomination put it: “The world needs more Jo’s.”
