At MacIntyre we understand that people who draw on our support are not only people with learning disabilities, but also their families, so good communication is the first point of our Family Charter.
There are many ways in which family members can engage with MacIntyre. Although majority of day to day communication is done by the frontline staff members, we also see a huge value in senior leaders having regular contact with families of the people supported throughout MacIntyre.
If you are a family member of someone supported by MacIntyre you will have an opportunity to meet Sarah Burslem, our CEO, during the next family meeting called Let's Come Together, which will take place next week. These meetings, lead by Nicola Payne, our Families Engagement Consultant are held online. As much as we have all rediscovered the joy of meeting in person, online meetings are still a great way to make events accessible to people in various geographical locations, and we hope that many family members will be able to join us.
