After months of fundraising, support and construction, last week we were delighted to officially re-open our MacIntyre Coffee Shop in Stony Stratford, by welcoming the Milton Keynes Mayor, Sam Crooks; members of Wolverton & Stony Stratford Rotary Club and others who contributed to the refurbishment of the shop.
The Wolverton & Stony Stratford Rotary Club were instrumental in turning this project into a reality. Rotarians were tasked with nominating potential projects for their charity of the year and voted MacIntyre’s Coffee Shop. Rotarian Jim Barnes, a former chartered surveyor, co-ordinated the project pulling in contacts who could support the building works.
In addition to the Rotary’s various fundraising efforts, we were also able to raise additional funds through local events and several charitable grants.
The refurbishment was completed in late spring and the changes have already proved popular with our customers; offering more seating space, Wi-Fi, charging points and a new menu.
The Coffee Shop is open from Monday to Saturday - follow the link for full details. More information about the Rotary Club can be found at www.wolvertonandstonystratfordrotaryclub.co.uk and on Facebook.
