Fantastic total raised in Hampshire

11 September 2019
News

On 24 August, staff and people we support from Lane End House in Hampshire held a barbeque and raffle; raising over £500 towards a brand new sensory room in just a few hours. This fantastic total will go towards their target of £6,000. The team at Lane End House and the people we support were delighted to welcome members of the community to take part in the raffle, which featured prizes including tickets to Butlins, supermarket vouchers and perfumes. Each of the prizes was Kindly donated by local businesses and members of the community.

Referring to the outcome of the event, Flavia a member of staff said:

"We were really pleased with how the event went, which was organised and lead by my colleague Sabina. People we support were involved from the beginning; making posters, decorations by hand and wrote invites to the local community.”

She added:

"Everyone we support enjoyed it and shared they were so proud to be so involved. We even had people in the community ask when we are going to do another event!"
