Trying tech: Pattie’s story

4 December 2020
News

This December we are focusing on digital inclusion for the people we support. As part of The Big Give Christmas Challenge, we are raising money to provide digital devices for the people we support to help them stay connected to loved ones and feel included in online activities.

Meet Pattie

Earlier this year thanks to your support, our team in Worcestershire were able to purchase a tablet for the people they support.

For Pattie, who is in her 70s, there is nothing more enjoyable than a session of arts and crafts. Pattie is never happier than when she is armed with glue, glitter and a paintbrush.

Close

When the team introduced the house iPad to Pattie, they were unsure of whether it would interest her. Now after some support, Pattie has fully embraced it and has enjoyed finding apps where she can express herself creatively. She has even learned to use Facetime too, which has been vital during lockdown.

Support us

We want to ensure more people we support have access to digital devices such as tablets and smartphones to stay connected to loved ones, feel included in online activities and gain digital skills.

If you would like to support us, please donate at https://donate.thebiggive.org.uk/campaign/a051r00001fHu94AAC

Thank you for supporting MacIntyre.
