Families - everything you need, all in one place

28 April 2023
News

During Families Week 2023, both here on our website and on our social channels, we’ve shared resources to help families.

We’ve had a guest post from Debs Aspland, we’ve talked about our forthcoming WISH programme, how we connect with families, and shared our Family Charter. We’ve shared tips from families and useful videos on social media.

But wouldn’t it be great if we put the main pieces of information you might need all in one place? Well of course we have!

Information for Families and Friends

You’ll find MacIntyre's Information for Families and Friends on our website. It will be particularly helpful to families thinking about partnering with us, but also has information that will help families with whom we already have a relationship.

In it, you’ll find:

Support from MacIntyre

  • MacIntyre's history
  • Our unique approach, including our new DNA
  • Our specialist Best Practice team
  • How we keep your personal information safe
  • What you can expect of our staff

…and much more

External Support

  • Housing and Support
  • Legal frameworks
  • Local Authorities and who to contact
  • A guide to benefits
  • Our popular Jargon Buster

…and much more

We’ll be updating the pack regularly, so do check back from time to time

The circle line of emotions

And finally, we started the week hearing from Debs Aspland, let’s close it with her video about the ‘circle line of emotions’ which families travel around. Debs has some fantastic advice, both for other families and for those of us in organisations working with families to support their loved ones.

THANK YOU to all the amazing families MacIntyre works with. We couldn’t’ do it without you.
